URU holds Get Into Rugby Program in Kisubi.

The Uganda Rugby Union held  a GIR program today at the University of Kisubi with 25 participants.

The training that was conducted by Dorothy Nekesa and Kasasa Yayiro focused on long term aims of GIR which include:

-Establishing long term hubs that develop a player pathway of teams that feed national player pathways.

-Grow the number of teams playing annually in Uganda.

-Rugby hubs that can offer regular training and education opportunities for coaches,match officials, medical and volunteers.

-Expand and improve accessibility to pathways that keep people engaged in the game for their lives.
