This landmark development marks a transformative moment for Ugandan Rugby. For the first time, elected athlete representatives will have direct influence on key decisions, addressing critical issues such as player welfare, development programs, and strategic governance. UR leadership hailed the process as a commitment to inclusivity, transparency, and building a more representative body.
“This election is more than procedural. It is a promise to our athletes that their insights will drive rugby’s growth in Uganda,” said Mr. Lutwama Isaac. Stakeholders anticipate these voices will strengthen advocacy on training resources, competition standards, and grassroots initiatives.
The Uganda Rugby continues to prioritize constitutional reforms that amplify player involvement, fostering a collaborative environment for the sport’s sustained success.
