The Uganda Rugby U20 team  began their Barthes Tournament  campaign with a 54-20 defeat to Kenya at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya on Saturday 9 April 2022.

The first half ended 11-10 with Kenya leading. Uganda’a try was scored by Ochan Emma with the conversion and penalty kick from Daniel Okello.
Daniel Okello also scored Uganda’s last try and conversion.

“I’m impressed with the performance of the team considering the short time we had for training. Expect a better performance in the next game on Wednesday vs Côte d’Ivoire at 9:00am.
