The Uganda Rugby 7s team has finished in 7th place in the first of the two tournaments of the Emirates Invitational 7s in Dubai. Uganda Rugby 7s secured their first win in the tournament in the game against Spain.

On Uganda’s win against Spain: 

“The game was tough like the 5 previous games that we played. The lads put in a good shift and good a result in the end.Our objective is to get to test our structures in a high intensity environment and this is perfect for us. Looking forward the next hit out in a few days.”

On the positives of the tournament so far:
We are learning which areas to tweak to ensure we are competitive come June.No better way to learn than to play top 7s teams in the world.”

Low note: 

On a low note we lost Pius ogena through concussion so he won’t be able to take part in the rest of the games but glad hereafter and up and will be running in a couple of weeks.”
