Uganda Cup Round 3

Uganda Cup Round 3, played on 1st and 2nd November 2025, served up a dramatic mix of one-sided routs, nail-biting finishes, and poignant moments of remembrance, solidifying the tournament’s reputation and rugby values.

In the men’s competition, Heathens continued their formidable form with a commanding 35-17 victory over the Victoria Sharks, Elsewhere, Kyambogo secured a hard-fought 7-00 away win against the Fort Portal Tyrants. The clash between the KCB KOBs and the Toyota Buffaloes was a classic, tense affair, with the KOBs ultimately edging out the Buffaloes with a narrow 16-14 victory. Meanwhile in Jinja, fans were treated to a high-scoring thriller where the Hippos narrowly defeated the Rhinos 35-29 in a fiercely contested local derby. The most staggering scoreline of the day, however, came from the Pirates, who ran in try after try to demolish Walukuba Barbarians 98-10.

The women’s tournament was equally electrifying. Panthers roared to a 38-00 win over the Mbale Eagles. The day’s most dominant performance, however, belonged to the She Wolves, who hosted Kigezi Queens in Mbale, delivering an absolutely stunning performance, crushing their opponents with a monumental 100-00 victory.

Amid the fierce competition, the rugby community also came together in a moment of solemn reflection. Before the kick-off at multiple venue, a moment of silence was observed in memory and honor of the late Ronald Adigasi. The touching tribute united players and fans in remembrance, celebrating his life and contributions to the sport. May his Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
