Uganda 7s lose to Kenya,Spain and Canada

Week two of the Emirates Invitational 7s in Dubai started today with Uganda facing Kenya, Spain and Canada.

The Uganda 7s started their day against  Kenya Sevens that ended 28:10 in favour of Kenya. Uganda’s points came from unconverted tries by Desire Ayera and Adrian Kasito.

In their second game, Uganda fell to Spain in the 26:07 score. Uganda try scorer was Solomon Okia converted Joseph Aredo. Aaron Ofoywroth was served a red card during the game against Spain leaving 6 men against 7.

In the final game of the day, Uganda faced Canada. Uganda’s spirited game ended 24:21 in favor of Canada with tries from Solomon Okia, Philip Wokorach and Aaron Ofoywroth and conversions from Philip Wokorach.

Uganda 7s finished fourth of their pool. They kick off  Day 2 against France in the main cup quarterfinals tomorrow at 9:06 EAT.
