Lady Cranes XVs complete Captain’s Run

Lady Cranes XVs completed their Captain’s run at Impala Rugby Grounds today, fine-tuning preparations ahead of their Rugby Africa Women’s Cup 2026, Performance Division opener against Kenya tomorrow.

The session, held between 12:30pm and 2:00pm, provided the squad with a final opportunity to sharpen tactical structures, reinforce combinations, and settle into match rhythm before Saturday’s East African derby in Nairobi.


With intensity and focus evident throughout, the ladies worked through key on-field details under the guidance of the technical team, signaling readiness as Uganda approaches its opening assignment of the tournament.

Attention now turns firmly to the clash against hosts Kenya, a fixture that not only carries regional significance but could also set the tone for Uganda’s campaign in the competition.

The match set to kick off at 16 hrs EAT will be broadcasted live via Rugby Pass, and the Official Rugby Africa Facebook page.
