‏Tamara and Phillies are a set of twins playing in the Kyadondo Peacocks rugby team. Tamara is a flyhalf while Phillies is a prop.

The two girls (Apio phillies and Achen tamara) were birthed by Winnie Atyang who is currently a National Team Player with Lady Cranes XV. The twins got the inspiration to play from their mother who is a rugby player.

Tamara and Phillies started by playing tag rugby at Kyadondo when they were young and advanced to contact in the Kyadondo Peacocks team. Both play rugby and basketball just like their mother. Outside rugby, they used to train baking cakes with Shoprite before it closed and they are now good at baking biscuits,cookies and cakes. The multi-talented girls are also good at plaiting hair and applying makeup on clients.

The two girls are also blessed with leadership skills. Apio Phillies is the Head Prefect of Crane High School while Tamara is the Chairperson of the Entrepreneur club. In the club, Tamara is the head of Logistics. The girls have managed to balance sports and schools which makes their mother a proud parent.

As a mother, Winnie pictures her daughters studying university in Cyprus or Turkey. “By God’s grace I see them managing their own business”
