Nile Rapids, defending champions of the Uganda Cup delivered a thrilling performance as they came from behind to defeat Avengers in a high-energy, emotionally charged encounter.
Avengers struck first, using quick ball movement and aggressive defensive lines to unsettle the champions. For much of the opening half, they dictated the tempo and forced the Rapids onto the back foot. The Rapids’ usual fluidity was disrupted, and their fans watched anxiously as the Avengers held a narrow but deserved lead.

In one of the standout upsets of the tournament, She Wolves coming in as clear underdogs, defeated the Panthers 10–5 to secure their place in the final. Despite missing several key players who were away representing Uganda on national duty, She Wolves showed remarkable depth, grit, and determination.Panthers, tipped as favourites, looked confident, but the She Wolves refused to be intimidated. Their defensive discipline frustrated the Panthers’ attacking efforts, while their efficient use of possession produced two crucial tries that shifted the momentum firmly in their favour.

With a 5–10 final score, She Wolves proved that heart and teamwork can outweigh the odds. Their victory not only stunned the Panthers’ faithful but also sent a strong message to their next opponents the Nile rapids as they move in for an all eastern derby in the 2025 Uganda Cup Finals.
