The iconic Irish BlackRock College Rugby Football Club has safely landed in Uganda, marking a highly anticipated return to East Africa after over 30 years. This Dublin-based rugby powerhouse, founded in 1882, is ready to light up Kyadondo Rugby Grounds tomorrow as they go head-to-head against the fierce Uganda AllStars in a historic showdown.

Beyond the pitch, BlackRock will engage in impactful community outreach, including visits to the Spire School for the Blind and initiating a Prisons Rugby Project. The match will be curtain raised by the an agegrade selection that will make up the U17 Emerging Junior Cranes who will play against Agegrade Centers AllStars, also a junior selection team from various agegrade rugby facilities. “This will be the first trial game as we build for the youth Olympics in 2026” remarked Dorothy Nekesa.
