Black Pirates storm into Enterprise Cup final.

Kampala, April 12, 2026 – Stanbic Black Pirates RFC dug deep to edge Nondescripts RFC 20-17 in a brutal Enterprise Cup semifinal yesterday at Kings Park Arena, booking their ticket to the grand showdown against Kenya’s Kabras Sugar RFC.

The Pirates struck first with a pinpoint penalty, but Nondescripts hit back immediately to level the early exchanges. A forward dominated arm wrestle defined the first half, ending deadlocked at 10-10 after 40 minutes of unrelenting pressure.

Energized after the break, Pirates unleashed two trademark tries – conversions missed, but damage done. Nondescripts roared back with a slick converted try, narrowing the gap to three points and igniting a desperate late surge. But Pirates’ backs-to-the-wall defence held firm, snuffing out wave after wave in a finish for the ages.

Alex Aturinda claimed Man of the Match honours, his ferocious breakdown poaching and match-turning try firing up the home faithful.

Pirates now hunt Enterprise Cup glory against Kabras Sugar (29-20 semifinal conquerors of Menengai Oilers) on May 30 at a venue to be announced.

The Final showdown will be one that reinstates Ugandan Club Rugby on the East African map.
